Motherhood

10 reasons why I love being a mom

Being a mom is the best gift I’ve ever been given. It’s been hard, it’s been challenging but at the end of the day, it’s ALL worth it.

Here’s my top 10 reasons of why I love it so much!

1. Life has so much more meaning and purpose now. Life was good before, but now it’s amazing. I have a purpose and my son gives me pure happiness. When things are hard, I just look at his sweet face, and everything is instantly better and I remember why I’m here and why life is important.

2. Enjoying every moment with him. I had to learn to take it one day at a time and tried to not rush through any moments or days.  I do miss when my son was a newborn and his newborn cuddles 🙁

3. Trusting my motherly instincts. Everyone you know will have advice and opinions about how you are raising your baby. However, you are the only real expert on YOUR baby and what he or she needs. I have learned to be in touch with my own sense and figure out what my little one needs.

4. Take pictures and take more. If you are anything like me, you have put your baby to bed and you are scrolling through your camera roll, missing their sweet face and giggles. I will never regret having too many pictures!

5. I am his biggest supporter. I want to teach him to be a good person: helpful, kind, loving, and truthful.

6. Seeing the world through his eyes. Watching him discover new milestones, trust people, and radiate happiness is the most rewarding feeling in the world. I made that sweet little boy!

7. Being a full-time working mom is hard, I am not going to sugar coat that. But struggles are temporary. Having a good support system behind you is really key. The sleepless nights were a struggle for my family and me. We learned to lean on each other and ask for help. My biggest takeaway I learned with newborn sleep patterns: Let others know you need a break!

8. I have an instant best friend. He brings out the best in me, and I see the best in myself because of him. I always want to do my best for him, whether it is at home or at work.

9. Mornings are ten times better. I love waking up to his cute little face and noises. Waking up to the sweetest little face every morning, even if he kept me up all night, is by far the best thing I could have asked for. Mornings are so much more special and are MADE for cuddling and kisses.

10. Watching my husband be a dad. This is genuinely the most amazing sight I’ve ever seen. He is so loving and patient with him. I love their bond together! My husband looks at our son like I’ve never seen him look at anyone before. It’s the best thing in the world to watch.
