- Shower time – My night-time showers are MY THING. Literally, the door gets shut, Memphis is in bed, and I chill out myself for like 20 minutes. It’s the best thing ever.
- “Mom time” – As I like to call it, on the days when Matt comes home before Memphis goes to sleep, I sneak away for a few minutes. Matt will bathe Memphis and do the bedtime routine. I also use this time for a self-care routine, do laundry, or just sit on the couch and watch housewives reruns!
- Expose your body to sunlight & fresh air – Spend some time in sunlight. Right now, Summer is over, and we are in Fall. My son loves to be outside. So it’s really nice to get out in the fresh air. We typically do two walks a day, one in the morning and one in the evening before bedtime (if the weather cooperates.)
- Snack break – Mamas, TREAT YO SELF. And that doesn’t mean you have to chow down a bunch of junk food (though, you do you, who am I to judge?) Remember to eat! Remember to grocery shop. Remember to use your crockpot for dinner. Remember to ask for help from family members!
- Mornings – I am a morning person! If I know it’s going to be a long day with a lot to do or if it’s a workday, I typically will try and go to bed early the night before so I can get up an hour or so before Memphis does. It’s nice to start the day with quiet time, a fresh cup of coffee, and crossing things off your to-do list, you know?
